California lovin'

California was amazing. So much fun. We fit a lot in to a short 10 days.
(and there is a major picture overload below... and they are in backwards order so just pretend like you're rewinding with me.)
I obviously did not get much sun. I practically glow like a lightbulb- especially next to these two dark boys. (And I look at this picture and it makes me feel short. Those boys are so tall!)

We had an open house for Chad on Sunday and mama Sherrie bought some cute slippers from Japan Town for us to wear.
Rachel and I made some yummy candy sushi for the gathering.
Here is the brand new Elder Martinez right after being set apart.
Here we are with sweet Grandma Croshaw.
There was a lot of serious ping-pong matches and guitar playing going on. The picture below is a result of the tournament. My boy was proud!

After a wonderful family trip to the temple we ate lunch at the delicious "Fenton's"... Oh yum.

Eating (we did lots of that. So much delicious food to be consumed.) at the one and only "La Costa".
We went on a camping adventure to Big Basin. A little chilly- but perfect for camping because it makes it nice to warm up to the fire and make s'mores! We were pretty close to Santa Cruz so we took a couple day trips over there and watched the boys catch some waves. It was a lot of fun.

Thank you family for such a wonderful trip!

crazy wonderful

It's crazy that Father's day has passed, June is almost over and July will have come and gone before we know it.
Happy Father's Day to our amazing dads- we love you so much!

It's crazy that Jeff finished his last final to complete his bachelors degree.
Way to go hus! I'm so proud of you... you have worked long and hard
and have been balancing a full time work schedule and overload of school.
You amaze me!

It's crazy that our house got struck by lightning!
Unfortunately our TV and oven were both zapped dead.
Fortunately there were no fires or serious damage.

It's crazy that there are now 2 Elders from the Martinez family serving missions.
Chad is now in the MTC preparing for Japan.

It's crazy that the days pass so quickly.

friday's favorites: products

I love Origins.

I haven't tried something of theirs I didn't like. The products are clean, fresh and natural. My new favorite:

you can purchase it here. It's totally worth the $25.00

Supposedly, it works so well you can't test it in the store because they can't be liable if you fall asleep on your way home. All I know, is that when I use it I fall asleep and sleep great... and that is a big treat for me! Give it a try and let me know what you think!

four

4 years ago today was the day I married my best friend.

It was a great day. Busy and hectic, beautiful and romantic, scary and filled with butterflies... but the best day ever.

a dream come true.
Now we have an eternity more to go, and I look forward to each day.

♥Jeffy- I love you, always and forever.
